Alcohol and Drugs

Alcohol & Drugs:  If you are concerned about you or someone you know’s drinking or drug taking, you might want to drop in.  We have loads of leaflets that will give you impartial information about substances, and you don’t even have to talk to a worker if you don’t want to.  If you do feel you’d like a chat, then we can listen to you – we won’t judge you and it’s all confidential.  If you feel you have more complex substance misuse issues, we can arrange for a specialist worker to meet you at The Information Shop.  It’s not just young people who take drugs and alcohol, so if you are affected by a parent, family member or friend(s) because of their substance abuse, then we’d love to be able to support you too.

“My dad’s drinking just got worse and worse after Mum left.  I felt embarrassed to tell someone but it was really getting me down”:  Brodie 17
